At BAE Systems we believe in giving our people inspired work now and into the future.  We are seeking to appoint a self-driven Electrical/Electronics Engineer to support the Australian Military Airspace Communications and Control System (AMACCS) project.  This key position will report to the Project Engineering Manager, based at our North Ryde, New South Wales location, and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis.  

As an Electrical/Electronics Engineer, you will:

* Design and develop electronic/electrical systems and equipment in accordance with project and company requirements

* Derive the electronic/electrical systems and equipment requirements, define the test requirements and participate in system design and requirements reviews

* Develop electronic/electrical detailed designs and solutions against requirements including their optimisation and present the solution in design reviews

* Develop and execute system tests, ensuring the system conforms to its specifications

* Develop and maintain support system documents including work instructions and publications

* Independently review peer's work, identify technical risks and unknowns and support planning activities including configuration management, change management and traceability processes

* Undertake the integration and validation of the electronic/electrical system and equipment design including contributing to the integration and validation reports

* Complete the electronic/electrical system and equipment product assembly, integration, test and shipping including the product change management and quality control processes

As an ideal applicant you will have:

* Relevant electrical, electronic or hardware engineering experience

* A University degree level  engineering qualification

* Strong problem solving skills and will be a self-starter and a practical thinker

Whilst not essential, working knowledge of mechanical engineering or radio frequency engineering will be highly regarded.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
