Maintenance Lead

Based at our head office in Edinburgh Parks, our Advanced Manufacturing business manufactures defence products for a range of key programs and is involved in a number of unique technology development opportunities delivered via dedicated Advanced Technology teams. As a result of growth, we seek an experienced Maintenance Lead.

As the Maintenance Lead, you will be responsible for the day to day coordination of maintenance activities to meet delivery requirements and coordinate all aspects of the maintenance flow of aircraft and aeronautical products.

In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will:

  • Coordinate, plan and facilitate maintenance within Operational Maintenance (OM) and Deeper Maintenance (DM) venues to ensure the success of Lead in Fighter (LIF) contract deliverables
  • Perform the “delegated” duties in accordance with the regulations and guidance detailed in the Technical Airworthiness Management Manual and the LIF Maintenance Management Plan
  • Utilise the Ultramain Maintenance Management System and/or Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM) 2 to ensure that the technical integrity of work performed and certified, on aircraft and aeronautical product meets requirements
  • Ensure that all personnel are adequately trained and periodically authorised to perform aeronautical product and aircraft maintenance
  • Ensure that the technical integrity of work performed on aircraft and aeronautical product by organisations in the OM/DM Maintenance Support Network meets requirements
  • Coordinate the supply of spares and ground support equipment to meet  maintenance activities and priorities
  • Coordinate Non Conformance Reports and Dispositions (NCRD) and defect reports to ensure timely resolution of issues to meet  maintenance schedules
  • Prepare analytical data on resource and materials to allow for productivity and reporting

 As the ideal applicant you will have:

  • Experience in an aviation maintenance or leadership role within a customer focused, support environment
  • Experience in a maintenance coordination role
  • Knowledge of Australian Defence Force (ADF) aircraft maintenance regulations and procedures
  • Experience in using the Computer Aided Maintenance Management (CAMM) 2 system
  • An Aeronautical Maintenance Engineering trade qualification with post trade experience

Whilst not essential, experience in a military environment will be highly desirable

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
