We are seeking to appoint a dedicated Systems Engineer to work on an exciting and unique development uninhabited autonomous aircraft project.  This key position will be based at our office in Richmond and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis. As the Systems Engineer you will:

* Undertake system requirements analysis, functional analysis, architecture design and documentation

* Plan, manage and execute the system requirements and verification activities

* Undertake hazard analysis and mitigation strategies as part of the system safety approach

* Perform the specification, sourcing and  the integration of commercial off the shelf items and subsystems in particular electronic aircraft sensors

* Contribute to  the design, manufacture, assembly and test of ground elements and system test units

* Support aircraft integration and flight test activities

* Maintain the system design and documentation in accordance with configuration management, change management and traceability processes

* Independently review peers' work, identify technical risks and unknowns and support planning activities 

As an ideal applicant you will have:

* An engineering degree qualification coupled with relevant experience in systems engineering

* Experience in the design, development and verification of safety critical systems

* Demonstrated experience with requirements and verification management within a structured toolset

* Familiarity with multiple engineering disciplines in particular mechanical and electrical/electronic hardware

* Self-motivation and a proactive approach to progressing all assigned tasks

Whilst not essential, systems engineering experience within a Defence or Aerospace environment will be highly regarded.
