MECHANICAL ENGINEER

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic Mechanical Engineer to support the Nulka In-Service Sustainment (ISS) program.  This exciting and rewarding role will be based at our Richmond, Victoria location, and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis. 

As a Mechanical Engineer, you will:

* Design and develop mechanical systems and equipment to support the Nulka In-Service Sustainment program.  This includes varying engineering activities to support the design and integration of the product and support systems

* Support and maintain all of the delivered Nulka System hardware including production and sustainment equipment

* Undertake engineering investigation activities and problem solving within the predefined product constraints

* Complete the engineering documentation around analysis records/justification and the associated data pack construction. This also includes formal change record development and the configuration review/approval process

* Deliver mechanical engineering and other work packages and artefacts associated with the Nulka System Product Support tasking

* Produce mechanical engineering related documentation including engineering changes, deviation and waivers, engineering drawings and technical reports

* Investigate mechanical design problems and identify and address the root cause and provide appropriate recommendations and justifications

* Plan, develop and conduct testing activities

As an ideal applicant you will have:

* A university degree level engineering qualification

* Demonstrated mechanical engineering experience and knowledge

* Experience utilising technical data packs, engineering standards and configuration management tools/systems

* A high level of self-motivation, time management and organisational ability

Whilst not essential, experience with managing requirements, including testing and verification, will be highly regarded.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
