To ensure these programs are delivered by the very best talent, we invite you to express your interest in joining BAE Systems Australia as a Systems Engineer. As a Systems Engineer you will work with the other project disciplines (software, hardware, mechanical etc.) and support those teams to ensure a systems orientated, integrated approach is taken with respect to the project engineering development and verification activities.

As an ideal applicant you will have:
• Experience in a similar role preferably within the Defence sector
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant engineering discipline
• Developed and managed system requirements and design documents such as system and subsystem specifications, product breakdown structure, design documents, component specifications and interface specifications
• Performed system engineering activities such as: requirements management, functional analysis, candidate solution development, system design, system analysis, integration, system tests, acceptance tests and certification
• Performed analysis to define and characterise the system and its components
• Used domain, discipline and systems engineering understanding to ensure enabling, supporting and delivered products that meet their requirements and are fit for purpose
• Developed work statements and technically manage suppliers
• Participated in ensuring that the design meets all statutory regulatory requirements
• Developed and executed system tests and agreed component tests which ensured that the implemented designs conform to their specifications
• Integrated components in a logical manner to ensure that emergent properties and limitations are exposed and acceptable
• Maintained the design and its documentation in accordance with the applicable configuration management, change management and traceability processes
• Reviewed peers' work, identify technical risks and unknowns and support planning activities

As Defence security clearance is required for these roles, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) may be applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
