A new role exists for an Application Support Analyst to join our Information Management and Technology (IM&T) team on the Hunter Class Frigate Program. The location of this role is flexible but candidates need to be willing to work from the ship building site at Osbourne regularly. Other working locations can include our office in Adelaide's CBD or head office in Edinburgh Parks.
This new position will report to the Team Leader: Business Systems Tools and Applications, the Application Support Analyst to deliver technical and functional software product support, maintenance and development across the Hunter Class tools and application suite of products. This role will see you collaborating with a range of stakeholders to coordinate user support, analysis, development, testing and production delivery in accordance with cost and time requirements. In this team-oriented role, the Application Support Analyst will also be a significant contributor to continuous improvement activities by providing timely responses to recommendations and support requests from internal customers.
As a member of an international team this, you will work across several different time zones. This means that we encourage a flexible approach with your start and finish times to ensure that a work-life balance is maintained by all. Frequent evening meetings will be required to ensure we are all aligned and are able to work as 'one team'.
As an ideal applicant, you will have:
- Solid relevant professional experience at an equivalent level.
- Sound experience in the analysis and development in an Enterprise Project Planning tool [Oracle Primavera P6 preferred ]
- Experience in interpreting user needs and defining requirements
- Strong ORACLE and SQL server database skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced, large scale multi project based environment
Whilst not essential, Degree level qualification in a computer based subject will be highly regarded.
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
