About the OPPORTUNITY
Due to internal promotion, we have a new opportunity for an Electronics Manufacturing Engineer to join our Electronics Manufacturing business unit based at Edinburgh Parks, SA.
You will be responsible for providing engineering expertise to a variety of electronic products which are used by our defence customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide production build line technical support for electronic products and processes
- Provide technical input and support (including undertaking RCA activities) as a part of non-compliance (NCR) and test failure investigations
- Provide production expertise to project teams during design and development activities
- Provide input into the assessment, selection and implementation of new capital equipment contributing in the role of product and manufacturing process SME.
- Undertake and support APQP activities and provide technical advice and reviews as required.
- Undertake investigation and resolution of Safety, Product Safety and Environmental
- Support qualification testing on new designs for internal and external customers
- Safety issues in relation to products and related processes within your area of responsibility
- Participate in DFM (Design for Manufacturability) and/or DFT (Design for Test) reviews and provide feedback to relevant project/design engineering teams
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (ex. Six Sigma, Kaizen, TPM, etc).
- Support transition of NPI/Product Launch from pilot runs/LRIP (Low Rate Initial Production) to FRP (Full Rate Production)
About YOU
- A background in electronics manufacturing/production, or manufacturing technical experience, or electronics engineering.
- A degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
- Practical experience of Surface Mount Technology (SMT), assembly integration and test processes.
- Radio frequency (RF) experience.
- Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work well in a team and a fast-paced environment.
