About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Maritime Sustainment business unit based at Garden Island, NSW.
You will be responsible for analysing data and trends on maritime equipment and systems, and for providing recommendations that assist in ensuring the effective operation of the equipment and systems until the Life of Type is reached.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor and analyse the ship's equipment and systems performance by undertaking Reliability, Availability & Maintainability (RAM) modelling, calculations and data analytics.
- Lead root cause analysis and troubleshoot process or equipment issues
- Collaborate closely with maintenance and operations teams to coordinate timely repairs
- Plan and execute reliability improvement tasks with a proactive mindset
- Validate Reliability and Cost models
About YOU
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Proven experience in process safety management, mechanical systems monitoring, preventive maintenance, and safety auditing
- Proficiency in data reporting, reliability metrics, and the application of industry best practices
- Strong understanding of DCACAS (Data Collection and Corrective Action System) / FRACAS (Failure Reporting and Corrective action system) and LSA (Logistic Support Analysis) including, but not limited to,FMECA (failure mode effect criticality analysis), RCM (Reliability Centred Maintenance), MTA (Maintenance Task Analysis) and LORA (Level of Repair Analysis).
- Demonstrated experience in developing Reliability Block Modelling and Cost models using tools similar to Reliasoft
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, communicate, and resolve conflict effectively
- Advanced understanding of engineering standards, RCA (Root Cause Analysis approach) and systems engineering.
