About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting new opportunity for a Reliability Engineer Lead to join our Hunter Class Frigate program and work at the state-of-the-art naval shipyard in Osborne, SA or in Bourke St. Melbourne.
You will be responsible for developing the reliability case for the whole-of-ship, producing a brief of evidence to address the availability, reliability and maintainability requirements. You will be guiding and working with a team of reliability engineering analysts and working within the broader Support Systems / Integrated Product Support team.
Remote applicants would be considered if they match the below criteria and are willing to travel to Adelaide or Melbourne once a month.
Key responsibilities include:
- Creating Reliability Block Diagrams for the purpose of Availability, Reliability, Maintainability (ARM) analysis.
- Assisting in planning the reliability engineering program within an Acquisition context.
- Guiding a team of engineering analysts.
- Integrating the reliability engineering program with the LSAR and the broader Support System team.
- Managing a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Highly developed stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to develop into people leader with a small number of reportees.
About YOU
- A Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field
- Experience in Availability, Reliability, Maintainability (ARM) analysis within a Defence Acquisition Program.
- Proficiency in data reporting, reliability metrics, and the application of industry best practices
- Developed understanding of the theory of reliability engineering with the ability to determine the best strategy for modelling to support meeting the ship's reliability and availability requirements.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, communicate, and resolve conflict effectively
- Ability to develop into people leader with a small number of reportees.
- Advanced understanding of engineering standards and applied systems engineering.
