About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for Configuration Build Officer to join our Maritime Sustainment Business Unit, reporting to the Destroyer Capability Enhancement (DCE) Technical Data Manager. We are flexible in terms of location and will accept applications from across Australia.

You will be responsible for overseeing the Maritime Technical Data Management practices and systems for delivery of the DCE Program in accordance with Customer processes and the company's Business Management System (BMS), including any sector specific procedures and the relevant project Configuration Management Plans (CMP) and Technical Data Management Plans (TDMP) for the DCE Program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Overseeing preparation and delivery of Technical Data deliverables to the Customer, and the receipt and processing of data deliverables from Suppliers, DCE Industry Stakeholders and/or Commonwealth stakeholders
- Overseeing preparation of materials for major project reviews and milestone activities
- Overseeing data assurance activities against audit schedules with reference to the project schedules, including Functional Configuration Audit (FCA), Physical Configuration Audit (PCA) and Quality audits of Technical Data
- Support the Technical Data Manager with the establishment and operation of Engineering Review Board (ERB) and Configuration Control Board (CCB) sessions in support of incorporation decisions for changes arising during the DCE Program as advice to the DDGSPO PE
About YOU
- Demonstrated experience in a similar role, including technical experience and supervising
- Experience sequencing engineering changes in a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) tool
- Demonstrated good communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers at all levels
- Proven ability to function confidently within a multi discipline project team environment
- Demonstrated good problem solving skills
- Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables
- Analytical ability in dealing with and maintaining the supportability of systems
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
