About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an opportunity for a Permit Controller to join our High Risk team as part of the Maritime Sustainment business based at Henderson WA.
You will be responsible for the safe and effective issuing of daily hazardous work permits in compliance with established procedures and legislated requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Review permit requests for accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and issue Hazardous Work Forms
- Conduct atmospheric testing and workplace inspections
- Provide notification of conflict to the relevant project team
- Conduct daily testing of confined space entry equipment
- Ability to work rotating shift patterns
About YOU
- Current Issue Work Permits, Confined Space Entry and Atmospheric Testing certifications
- Demonstrated experience with a permit system
- Relevant industry experience
- Ability to work as part of a small team fostering positive working relationships with the team and its customers including contractors and external stakeholders
- Ability to work unsupervised
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against internal and external stakeholder requirements
- High level interpersonal skills to manage internal and external stakeholders
- Intermediate computer knowledge and the ability to learn and understand ePAS
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Must be eligible to gain and maintain a minimum Baseline security clearance or higher as required for the position
