As our Industrial Capability Development Manager, you'll be at the forefront of developing and nurturing a robust industrial ecosystem to support the enterprise's strategic goals. Operating in alignment to the Customers Industry Strategy (IS) you will operate as a member of the AIC and Industry development team to mobilise the AUKUS AIC program and maximize the impact of AIC initiatives aimed at developing enduring sovereign capability and partnerships.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
- Forging strong relationships with key industry players to identify opportunities for customer investment to uplift Australian industry capability through targeted technology transfer programs.
- Champion the uplift of Australian industry capability to increase tri-lateral resilience through expansion of Australian supply chain capability and capacity in accordance with the AIC Strategy and plan.
- Manage industry development initiatives including the budgets, grants and associated schedule of activities with a focus on meeting technical outcomes to achieve qualification and certification to requirements and standards.
- Support the Development and mobilisation of processes and innovative strategies to enhance Australian industry capabilities.
- Oversee project budgets and contribute to the development of annual Financial, Operational and strategic plans associated with industry uplift initiatives and tech transfer activities.
- Drive continuous improvement in our AIC (Australian Industry Capability) and ACE (Australian Contract Expenditure) processes.
About YOU
You will have:
- A relevant tertiary qualification in supply chain, business, engineering, or a related field is preferred
- An ability to develop and execute technical and strategic initiatives to drive business growth
- A deep understanding of the defence industry ecosystem and its key stakeholders
- A strong analytical mind and the ability to solve complex problems
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and embrace new challenges
- A focus on achieving measurable results and delivering on commitments
