About the OPPORUNITY:
The Structural Engineer is responsible for providing structural engineering services, in this position you will apply your experience & knowledge to develop structural systems for large and complex projects.
This Engineering position will see you:
- Prepare detailed Finite Element Models & perform analysis of structures using Finite Element Analysis, hand calculations & other tools
- Undertake structural optimised designs to meet project requirements and in accordance with applicable Standards and Design Directives.
- Undertake site inspections and verifications as required.
- Provide structural engineering activities of the project, including liaison with customers and suppliers as appropriate.
About YOU
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Stress Analysis experience, with using FEM and calculations for the detail design of structures.
- Working Knowledge of analysis & modelling tools including Hyperworks, Mathcad, Excel, Creo & Autocad.
- Civil/Naval Architecture/Aerospace/Mechanical degree qualified.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Good understanding of Import/Export control processes including UK, EU and US regulations (ITAR), beneficial.
- Meet the requirements for registration as Chartered Professional Engineer with Engineers Australia and eligible to be a member of Engineers Australia
- Must be eligible to apply for Australian Defence Security Clearance
