About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Estimating & Pricing Manager to join our team ideally based in Adelaide, reporting to the Estimating & Pricing Lead - Technical & Assurance. Apply your skills to projects that matter, in a company that supports your growth.

Lead Estimating & Pricing by applying your leadership and commercial insight to resolve complex cost issues, while balancing financial, project, and customer outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Produce robust pricing by planning, managing and supporting the estimate build-up in accordance with BAE Systems Australia E&P processes, Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Cost & Profit Principals and applying best practice methodologies
- Adhere to Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Cost Principles/Profit Principles and US Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations
- Support the delivery of bids and proposals with a specific focus on providing specialist modelling support to non-Labour estimating challenges as well as delivering support to US based opportunities through the conduct of Price Cost Audits (PCA's) in line with the non-labour support requirements of this role
- Supporting the E&P Lead – Technical and Assurance, through the development and delivery of modelling and tools solutions that ensure US based opportunities are compliant with relevant with Federal Acquisition Legislation (FAR) and Defence Federal Acquisition Legislation (DFAR) requirements with a focus on non-labour estimates (including the conduct of PCA's – Price Cost Audits)
- Creating clear financial summaries for senior review, working closely with Finance, Commercial, and Project Management teams
- Leading pricing negotiations with Commonwealth Financial Investigation Services (FIS), Defence Contract Audit Agency, and CASG consultants
- Partnering with Bid Teams to deliver accurate, value-for-money proposals to the Commonwealth of Australia
- Identify and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
About YOU
You will have:
- Significant experience in a wide variety of Estimating and Pricing roles (or related disciplines)
- A relevant Tertiary Qualification, Trade or equivalent experience in a business related discipline
- Strong analytical and financial modelling skills with experience in deep data analysis and visualisation
- Experience in US contracting
- Experience in leading on estimating activities on strategic bids
- A professional qualification in Estimating & Pricing or working towards one i.e. Registered Cost Engineer(RCostE)or Certified Cost Estimator/Analyst (CCEA)
- A collaborative mindset with experience navigating complex, cross-functional environments
- Confidence in negotiations and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- An ability to motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements
