About the OPPORTUNITY –
We have multiple opportunities for Document Controllers to work on the upgrade of Royal Australian Navy ships, in a program of national importance, preference to be located in Adelaide at the Osborne Naval Shipyard. This program is critical to maintaining Australia's maritime capability over the next decade.
This fast paced, agile and innovative work includes key capability upgrades such as combat systems and missiles, as well as platform systems upgrades and key sustainment activities.
Reporting to the Configuration Management (CM) Lead, these roles will be responsible for performing day-to-day CM tasks, including managing data, parts, software and documents in soft and hardcopy form and using company systems and processes. This includes registering, storing, and updating, retrieving and issuing project information using the nominated CM System.
This role is flexible on location however, preference is to be based at Osborne, SA due to the physical presence required onsite with production.
This role will see you:
- Ensure data and documentation related to a product is captured in the CM System and that the approval status of the data and documentation is correct.
- Protect and handle classified information under configuration control in accordance with Company and Defence security requirements.
- Assist in identifying problems related to data & documentation control procedures or systems and liaise with other groups / teams for resolution.
- Assist with response to actions from the configuration control board.
- Assists in CM Audits and Quality Audits of CM.
- Liaises with and assists the CM Team Leader to contribute to CM practice and standardisation as requested.

About YOU
- Experience in Windchill is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience handling critical documents including revisions and updated information.
- Experience working in a maintenance support or manufacturing support environment where document handling and support has been a critical part of the role.
- Some exposure to recognised Document Control (DC)/CM tools and associated databases is desirable.
- Demonstrated experience in DM or CM procedures, with a sound understanding of CM basics.
- Sound analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Good skills in use of standard Office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Office).
- Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
- Ability to interact effectively with colleagues within and outside immediate team to achieve project CM requirements.
- A current NV1 Clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic in Arms (ITAR) regulations
