About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Manager to join our Maritime Sustainment division based in South Australia, however, we are open to support working from other states.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and/ or hybrid working.
Reporting directly to the Supply Chain Manager, this role will effectively engage stakeholders, manage interdependences and take the lead on achieving the required outcomes for projects. This role will require the application of Project Management principles to achieve desired outcomes within the cost, schedule and quality constraints while managing risk and opportunity.
Key responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivery of projects with clearly defined scope of works
- Leading the Supply Chain project team to ensure timely activity, integration and efficient use of time and resources to meet requirements
- Track and report progress and forecast final targets for cost and schedule
- Fostering a positive collaborative culture between key project stakeholders and the project team including the customer, sub-contractors and suppliers
- Ensuring all project requirements and/ or objectives are properly documented in a business case and/or project brief, as appropriate and vigorously pursued
- Establishing appropriate key success indicators and recommend trade-offs between scope, quality, time and cost
- Maintenance of project management baseline

About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Project Management (desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in a project or business management role
- Previous experience successfully managing a diverse project team
- Previous experience in Earned Value Management (EVM) is required in this role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of project management principles
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Tableau and Primavera P6 or OpenPlan
