We are looking for a Commercial Manager to join us. Working with the Commercial team within our Aerospace line of business, where your contribution will ensure the best commercial outcomes for the Customer and the business whilst contributing to the support of the Australian Defence Forces.
This opportunity is available at our Williamtown NSW office and open to hybrid work, flexibility and 9 day fortnight
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Supporting all contract activity including the drafting and negotiation of complex terms and conditions and associated agreements with customers along with negotiation of contract change and management of claims
- Contract interface with customers
- Support all Contract and Bid Status Reviews
- Responsible for all commercial aspects of business winning
- Leading, supporting and developing junior members of the team
- Drafting moderately complex contracts / agreements with little supervision
- Delivery of contract budgets
- Responsible for delivery of commercial interface with Procurement/Supply Chain and flow down of commercial contract requirements
- Preparation and delivery of Commercial Management Plans
- Responsible for preparation of negotiating strategies and lead negotiating teams
About YOU
You'll have:
- Extensive experience in a Commercial role
- Relevant tertiary qualifications
- Experience, knowledge and understanding of commercial skills and the commercial role
- Team orientation with a high level of written and oral communication skills including the ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders of all levels and from a range of disciplines
- An ability to appropriately apply and tailor commercial and business process under the appropriate delegation of authority
- An ability to lead or support moderately complex negotiations
- A strong understanding of the role and capability delivered by the estimating discipline and how the estimating input impacts the contract
- An ability to resolve complex problems that do not have routine solutions
- An ability to lead and guide a team and work independently with little supervision and guidance and using own experience, judgement and initiative
- Adept at building and maintaining excellent relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Computer literacy, with intermediate knowledge of MS Suite. Familiarity with tools like SharePoint and Oracle is desirable
- Ability to hold and maintain Defence Security Clearance
- International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role
