About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a great opportunity for a Campaign Manager to join our Maritime Business Development and Capture Team. Reporting to the Delivery Director, this role is responsible for leading a major single campaign or portfolio of campaigns.
This role is a key contributor and is instrumental to the implementation of BAE Systems Australia's strategy through the successful capture of opportunities aligned to the Strategic Priorities.
This role can be based at either our Brisbane Avenue office in Canberra, Osborne Shipyard in Adelaide, Liverpool St office in Sydney or Bourke St office in Melbourne.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia such as a 9-day fortnight, flexibility and hybrid working.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Undertaking a program of work linked to campaign(s) including generation, implementation and continuous improvement of a tailored business winning process
- Partnering with relevant senior stakeholders to drive optimal Capture outcomes and ensure long term business impact and performance
- Collaborating across the enterprise and industry to ensure successful Capture outcomes
- Establish a product road map and manage key stakeholders, both internal and external, to ensure successful outcomes
- Generate and deliver product business case(s) supported by global and domestic market assessment outcomes
- Maintenance of a high level of knowledge and understanding of how the role and relevant activity fits into the broader BAE Systems Australia strategy
- Shape, influence and drive the approach for winning business
- Partnering with Capture Team Leads to support strategic implementation
- Planning and coordinating all Phase reviews as part of Lifecycle Management (LCM) process leading toward request for Bid Approval
- Responsibility for financial reports, budget and forecasts for presentation to senior stakeholders
- Analysing data to provide strategic insights
- Identifying and implementing opportunity for risk reduction and costs savings
- Ensuring that current and future bid requirements are identified
- Managing handover of all bid information, working papers and knowledge to the Project Manager undertaking contract mobilisation
KEY CRITERIA:
- Ability to develop, motivate and manage a team
- Capable of communicating effectively across a diverse range of stakeholders, staff and partners honestly to develop trusted relationships
- Able to actively listen and solicit input from key internal and external stakeholders and capture team members
- Can define problems and solutions using team inputs, thoughts and opinions and diversity of thought
- Consistently deliver on commitments made to internal and external stakeholders and Capture team members through all phases of Capture and transition to contract award
- Capable of preparing and delivering clear and concise internal and external briefings
- Ability to maintain a customer focus in a challenging and complex environment
- Able to think strategically, problem solve and make decisions in a timely manner
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management
- Previous experience working in Defence or the Defence Industry
- Naval domain experience
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Eligibility to hold and maintain a Negative Vetting Level 1 Defence security clearance
