About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a Risk & Issues Lead to join our Maritime Sustainment delivery team based at the Osborne Naval Shipyard, SA.
Reporting to the Risk & Issues Manager, the Risk & Issues Lead will provide support to the program risk and opportunity (R&O) management process.
This position provides support in:
- Assisting the Program Risk Manager to deliver overall Program Risk & Opportunity objectives
- Delivery of accurate and timely R&O reporting requirements
- Responsible for the currency of information in the R&O toolset
- Overseeing R&O toolset access and training
- Leading Opportunity exploitation
- Ownership of the risk drawdown and MR process
- Ad hoc PM & Issues Management support
- Ability to present and represent the team in key stakeholder meetings

Key responsibilities include:
- Leading monthly risk reviews, including:
- Preparation of risk review agendas
- Ensure updates captured in risk toolset in a timely manner
- Challenging inputs, drawdowns & progressing them through approval channels.
- Follow up of actions arising
- Developing monthly Risk & Opportunity Program reporting
- Risk & Opportunity artefacts
- Lead periodic Schedule Risk Analysis modelling
- Provide advice and respond to Risk & Opportunity queries from IPTs
- Strong knowledge across both the Risk, Issues & DAREO space.
- Ad hoc support and awareness in the Issues space and the ability to help and lean in where required.
- Supporting ad hoc PM responsibilities such as collating inputs for CAM reviews.
About YOU
- Previous experience in a similar role or Project Management
- Strong understanding and experience in Risk Management concepts and methodology
- Capability to identify and solve problems, think critically and innovate
- Proven ability to partner with individuals / teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Current NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
