About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Manager with a key responsibility to support the Change Manager and wider program stakeholders in the coordination, administration and delivery of effective technical project change management across the Program.
The role focuses on enabling consistent, timely and well-governed change outcomes in line with established processes and tools.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the end-to-end administration of the project change management process, ensuring changes are logged, tracked, progressed and closed in line with agreed governance and frameworks.
- Provide Jira administration support, including creation and maintenance of project records, workflows, dashboards and reporting to support visibility of status and impacts.
- Assist in the development of change packs, briefing materials, presentations and reports to support stakeholder engagement and decision making.
- Support the capture and assessment of change impacts to cost, schedule, scope and risk, working with engineering, production and stakeholders to collate inputs and maintain accurate records.
- Maintain project registers, metrics and reporting to support program-level visibility and performance monitoring.
- Operate effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, responding to emerging issues while maintaining attention to detail and process discipline.
About YOU
- Knowledge of project change management, project coordination, project support or program support activities.
- Experience in a production or manufacturing environment, ideally with a technical background is desirable
- Intermediate MS Office skills, especially in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience in supporting meetings and reporting metrics
- Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, with confidence preparing packs, minutes, action logs and reports.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to governance, process and follow-through.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence security clearance
