Role Description:
We have an excellent opportunity for a Configuration and Document Controller working within Hunter Class LOB. You will be responsible for the timely, accurate and efficient preparation and management of documents, contributing to the management of the Configuration Management Partner Portal site(s) including updating site “look and feel”, periodic site clean up and ensuring site meets the needs of the Whole of Program.
This includes the management of Systems access control & Quarantined documents, Recording of Sentencing procedures, Destruction certificates & Intangible transfers, and Participation in Audits (internal and external) & Configuration Management Team Meetings.
Core Duties:
- Record, deliver and receipt Program data deliverables and maintain technical documentation records to the Customer and Program standards
- Ensure Program documents are reviewed, approved and authorised in accordance with the defined processes (Inbound, Outbound and Internal)
- Provide guidance and editing support to project team in relation to the document control process and procedures, ensuring the template format and layout is correct and the document is in accordance with Document Marking Guide and contract requirements
- Ensure documentation received, created, updated or disseminated, is identified and controlled in accordance with the Configuration Management Plan and Document Management Plan
- Manage the handling and delivery of classified, controlled or sensitive documentation, subject to additional requirements and procedures
Essential Skills:
- Demonstrated Configuration Management (CM) experience in an engineering / technical role involving significant CM involvement, preferably in a Defence / Government environment
- Significant experience in the use of recognised CM tools and associated databases
- Stakeholder management skills with regards to technical team and interfacing with engineering / technical personnel
- Skills in people management, problem solving and conflict management is desirable
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
