ABOUT the Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity to join a highly-regarded team as an Employee Relations Business Partner. Reporting to the Head of Employee Relations, you will act as a subject matter expert to provide strategic, commercial and pragmatic advice to business leaders and People team on a full range of employee relations, industrial relations and case coaching matters. This role will also have a particular focus on policy and legal compliance, helping to develop and implement necessary measures to ensure compliance with changing legal requirements and a modern policy and ER-knowledge suite.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partnering with key stakeholders across the business to manage employee and industrial relations matters, including case coaching.
- Support the design and implementation of compliance-focused measures, a modern policy suite, and ER knowledge base.
- Providing advice and coaching to our People Business Partnering teams and leaders across the business on performance management, investigations, disciplinary matters, termination, reorganisations and other matters.
- Advising on enterprise agreements, modern awards, employment contracts and Company policies and processes, etc.
- Supporting the delivery of key transformational projects at a business level, where relevant aligning with wider People and enterprise strategy, and with oversight from Head of Employee Relations.
- Proactively identify and support the design and delivery of ER/IR training for People Business Partners and People Leaders.
- Independently work with and influence key stakeholders across all levels of the business, as well as externally with trade unions and external legal counsel/advisors as required.
- Developing and maintain positive relationships with internal, external and customer stakeholders
About YOU
You'll have:
- Strong knowledge of employment and industrial relations framework, with significant prior experience as an ER/IR practitioner.
- Prior experience as in-house employment counsel or employment lawyer in private practice, will be highly regarded but is not a pre-requisite.
- Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing modern ER/IR policies, and pragmatic and effective measures aimed at complying with a wide range of legal requirements.
- Experience advising on and managing ER/IR and employment law matters, including enterprise bargaining, modern awards and case management.
- Experience managing ER/IR claims in Courts and Tribunals.
- Computer literacy, with intermediate knowledge of full MS Suite.
