Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated ICT Engineer to join our Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) team. Reporting to the Senior ICT Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality engineering outcomes across product builds, customer installations, and ongoing support activities.
Working in a collaborative team environment, you will contribute to both customer-facing engineering activities and the development of internal ICT infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and service delivery.
Core Duties:
- Performing complex ICT system builds and support customer-focused ICT technical activities such as site installations and/or integration services for customers.
- Provide CDS product support by efficiently responding to customer queries and maintaining positive relationships with customers.
- Contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of the ICT/lab infrastructure for CDS and design/implement improvements.
- Support the wider CDS team by ensuring availability and quality of service of the ICT/lab infrastructure.
- Support development of the ICT/lab infrastructure roadmap for CDS.
- Support the generation of quotations, clarification of customer requirements and preparation of proposals.
- Interface with stakeholders ensuring that the broader project team's needs are taken into account.
- Responsible for performing ICT tasks in accordance with the relevant plans and procedures and identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Troubleshoot, reproduce, and resolve technical issues with internal teams, maintaining strong, positive relationships with customers
About YOU
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related discipline
- Solid technical background across virtualization (VMware), infrastructure, storage, systems administration, Windows Server, and automation
- Strong hands-on experience working in Linux environments (essential)
- Industry certifications such as Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA/RHCE) highly regarded
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain an NV2 clearance.
- Eligibility to comply with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
