The future is bright at BAE Systems. We have been selected as the Managing Contractor for the designated Guided Missile Destroyer (DDG) sustainment program and have an exciting opportunity to be a part of this new and innovative program. Highly collaborative and agile in approach, we are engaging, consultative and solutions focused and are looking for a likeminded Senior Asset Performance Modeller to join the team.

The Senior Asset Performance Modeller will lead a small team of simulation modellers and be accountable for the development and maintenance of a variety of enterprise simulation models which will be used to support Asset Management planning activities to deliver optimised cost, performance and risk outcomes for the destroyers in service.

Your contribution to the team will include:

  • Providing strong leadership and management of all elements to ensure the effective execution of the Asset Performance Modelling team's responsibilities
  • Managing the planning (cost and schedule), allocation, deployment, control and approvals of the teams workloads, models and outcomes
  • Liaising with customers and suppliers as appropriate
  • Driving and participating in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Understanding developing, maintaining and updating a number of system models associated with program objectives

As the ideal applicant, you will have:

  • Significant experience with one or more system simulation modelling applications including:
    • Life Cycle Cost Modelling
    • Operational Availability Modelling
    • Reliability Block Diagram Modelling
    • Sparing Analyses Modelling
    • S&TE / Resources demand modelling 
  • Experience in leading small specialist teams
  • Experience in the support and development of logistics information management systems (LIMS) Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) and attendant artefacts
  • Working knowledge of and experience with industry performance modelling software and accrual accounting practices
  • Experience in the application of asset management requirements and with management of budgets and resources

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.

International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
