Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN)
For 35 years BAE Systems Australia has played a central role in the development of Australia's critical sovereign surveillance capability, working closely with the Defence Science and Technology (DST) Group to enhance and drive the network's unique technology the Jindalee Operational Radar Network (JORN). We're now looking to the future and have a range of job opportunities for highly skilled engineers to help us deliver the next generation technology as part of the JORN Phase 6 and/or HFS team. Wedgetail Electronic Warfare (EW) systems In-Service-Support project:
BAE Systems provides In-Service-Support (ISS) for the Wedgetail Electronic Warfare (EW) system, comprising the Electronic Support Measures system and EW self-protection suite that together provide situational awareness and improve platform survivability. The sustainment program includes engineering, supply support, operational support, maintenance and associated management. In addition to the core sustainment program, we have recently secured orders to undertake a technology refresh of parts of the system and we expect to receive further orders in early 2019.
Hunter Class (SEA 5000)
Over the coming months we will be further developing our existing engineering capability to support these two critical projects along with additional BAE Systems Australia projects including Hunter Class, Australia's largest naval shipbuilding program: https://careers.au.baesystems.com/jobs/BAE-1356381ESA
BAE Systems is committed to growing the overall naval engineering capability in Australia and as a result we're equally keen to hear from engineers within defence industry but also from engineers in adjacent industries excited by the technology and opportunities this will create.
We're specifically looking for engineers with qualifications and experience in:
- Systems Engineering
- RF/Electronics Engineering
- Software Engineering
- Integration and Test Engineering
- Verification and Validation Engineering
To work on these projects, you will be required to obtain an Australian Defence security clearance, therefore you will need to be a current Australian Citizen.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable for most roles and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability.
