These roles will ideally be based out of Adelaide, Melbourne or Newcastle, however we can be flexible to accommodate other locations within Australia.

Your new role:
As an IT Program Manager you will hold end-to-end accountability for the predictable delivery of an ongoing program of IT work.
This includes leading cross functional delivery teams of up to 15 people, (project managers, business analysts, architects, tech leads, subject matter experts, scrum masters, change managers, procurement managers) and overseeing project budgets totaling around ~$10M per annum.
Strong and collaborative leadership, polished engagement, delivery/outcome focus and superb relationship skills are key to being successful in this role.
As IM&T Program Manager you will be accountable for these core focus areas:
- Planning program(s) of work in association with IM&T teams and business managers
- Delivering IT program(s) of work on time, on budget and of an acceptable quality to ensure outcomes are fit for purpose and use
- Governing and assuring program(s) of work as part of the IT team and in accordance with BAE IT and PMO standards
- Achieving ongoing improvements which enhance the overall performance of the program of work(s) e.g. better outcomes sooner
- Complex and senior stakeholder management for a business unit, (requiring excellent communications skills and emotional intelligence)
- In terms of skills and background, ideally requires an experienced, highly motivated, commercially astute, autonomous IT leader. Educated to degree level and with a strong background in complex IT program/project delivery.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Demonstrated experience of managing and leading large and complex IT initiatives
- Demonstrated experience of managing within a complex stakeholder environment
- Demonstrated experience of program and project management methodologies, techniques and tools
- Demonstrated experience and understanding of technology, operations and business processes
- Demonstrated experience of business change management and formal process improvement experience associated with transformation and improvement projects
- Demonstrated Experience of financial management knowledge and experience within an IT program and project environment including the management of operational and business as usual funding
- Working Experience and knowledge of IT sourcing methodologies and service delivery operating models, with practical experience working with vendors and professional services firms
- Formal qualifications in Information Systems, Engineering or other appropriate discipline along with qualifications in Project Management methodology or equivalent is desirable
- Ability to motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements
