This role will predominantly support the Finance Manager in maintaining the required financial functions within Maritime, to ensure integrity and transparency of financial data to facilitate planning and decision-making for the program.

Your new role:
- Working as part of our world class shipbuilding program, you will provide financial support and advice to the program and have experience across the following accountabilities:
- Preparation and review of monthly project reporting.
- Preparation and review of variance reporting versus prior forecasts and budgets.
- Overseeing Foreign Exposure management
- Preparation and review of project reconciliations.
- Overseeing and reviewing Contract Change Proposal's and Sub-contract Change Proposal's and pricing.
- Improve processes used to calculate accurate, timely and efficient reporting of the financial results for the Project.
- Co-ordinate and assist in the preparation and review of the project Annual Budget, 5
- Year budget reporting and monthly re-forecast
- Co-ordinate finance inputs into the quarterly Estimate at Completion process.
- Operate, maintain and improve budgeting and forecasting processes for the project.
- Review Fortnightly Cash Flow forecasts.
- Oversee project billing and sub-contractor payments including Price Variation.
- Monitor and incorporate changes resulting from Contract Change Proposal's and Sub-contract Change Proposal's into financial processes.
- Input into project risk management processes including maintenance of finance related risks in the risk register.
- Provide assistance to Finance Manager as required.
- Ensure a robust project accounting system is implemented and maintained.
- Improvement in financial and project related processes
- Compliance to Corporate guidelines, policies and procedures as well as accounting standards and legislation
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Degree qualification in relevant field with CA or CPA qualification
- Excellent knowledge of budgeting and cost analysis, as well as a strong understanding of financial and management accounting practices
- Highly developed skills in analysis and interpretation of financial results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an ability to take ownership of task and embrace change
- Strong stakeholder management skills with high level of personal integrity, initiative and motivation
- Microsoft Office skills are essential
