Your new role:
The Engineering Change Officer (Communications & Sensors) will provide technical leadership and guidance to the Combat Systems functions within a Combat Systems Portfolio.
In this position you will:
- Provide technical and project leadership to the Combat Systems engineering activities
- Make engineering decisions and review Combat Systems engineering work within ones delegated technical authority
- Develop alternative concepts to Combat Systems problems and seek concurrence from other functional leads and the Combat Systems Portfolio Manager
- Checking of design artefacts
- Manage Combat Systems related engineering studies, evaluations and test & trials
- Be accountable for the maintenance of ship Signals, Frequency, and RADHAZ management
- Implementation and integration of Illuminators, Receivers, Transvers, Electro-optics and radars.
- Supportability engineering including the development and remediation of system ILS artefacts
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Bachelors degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering
- Experience in a systems engineering, naval construction or complex asset management/development environment
- Experience with cross organisational collaboration and engagement
- Proven experience in Communications System Integration
- Systems engineering including specification and requirements development
- Familiarity with Communications industry standards and current maritime Combat Systems design practices and standards
- Combat Systems sustainment, maintenance and design
- Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) clearance required
