Your new role:
The High Frequency Surveillance (HFS) program is comprised of a number of projects focused on the export of BAE Systems Australia HF product technology and systems. The Integration and Test Engineer is an Essential Capability within this HFS program portfolio.
Within a team environment, the Test & Integration Engineer shall conduct all test & integration engineering related activities in accordance with the relevant project procedures and work instructions. The Test & Integration Engineer may be asked to provide leadership through the provision of mentoring to junior team members. This person is responsible for the delivery of an integrated system to the system test team.
The opportunity will see you:
- Part of the High Frequency Surveillance (HFS) Integration Team
- Participate in the development of test equipment required for HFS projects
- Integration of HFS equipment
- Execute Installation and Checkout procedures using design and qualification criteria defined by the system designer
- Execution of tests on HFS equipment
- Observation of test activities using Matlab, network analysers, oscilloscopes, and spectrum analysers.
- Recording the results of test activities
- Fault finding in HFS equipment over a broad variety of engineering fields include Software, Electronics, RF, and ICT with support from specialists
- Participation in the failure preview process
- Supporting the systems engineering process' and the sell-off of requirements
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Bachelor Degree in Engineering or Science, satisfying the requirements for membership of the Institute of Engineers Australia, or equivalent
- Demonstrated Integration and Test experience as a qualified Engineer
- As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
