Your new role:
An opportunity has arisen for a self-driven ICT Systems Engineer, to demonstrate their ICT and Systems Engineering technical expertise and make a valuable contribution on our satellite communication systems projects. This fulfilling position will report to the ICT Systems Lead and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis.
In terms of more specific responsibilities, you will:
- Perform ICT systems engineering activities including requirements management, system analysis, solution development, design, integration, verification and validation, acceptance testing and certification, safety and security assessment
- Implement ICT systems engineering rigour and provide engineering support and advice to the business
- Actively contribute to systems vulnerability management and conduct investigations into vulnerabilities and implementing the mitigations
- Develop and manage ICT systems requirements
- Champion the transition towards a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology across the business
- Perform mission and support system maintenance of Windows Systems and firmware updates of network and hardware equipment
- Collaborate effectively with customers and internal stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Systems Engineering experience or ICT engineering experience
- A relevant qualification
- Good communication skills with the ability to develop effective relationships with stakeholders
- Good problem solving skills, self-motivation and the drive to improve current processes
Whilst not essential, Defence industry or satellite communications industry experience, will be highly regarded.

Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
