We currently have an opportunity for a Security Lead ideally based in our Melbourne Central Office, however location can be flexible dependent upon the individual. You will also have the flexibility to work from home on occasions.

Your new role:
As the Security Lead you will be responsible for contributing to the Security Function as a senior security team member in delivering all aspects of security management and implementation, in accordance with all laws and regulations subject to, this includes the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF), the Defence Industry Security Office (DISO) and Company policy requirements.
This opportunity will see you:
- Develop enhanced knowledge of ALL functional activities to actively engage and support the Security Function to maintain the Company security program and obligations to the Commonwealth
- Record all activities in the provided network platforms efficiently.
- Undertake reviews of security plans and information for the business as required.
- Serve as an experienced security professional with responsibility of monitoring and management of the enterprise security program within Australia.
- Build and maintain effective relationships and collaboration with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide security guidance and assist in resolution of issues and concerns raised related to Company security offerings.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this role, you'll have:
- Strong time management and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Australian Citizen, eligible to obtain and maintain Defence clearance to NV2.
- Working knowledge of Cyber Security Policy, protocols and standards.
- Significant experience in a Defence Industry role, including sound knowledge of the Defence Security Principles Framework (DSPF) and ability to acquire and maintain knowledge of Company policy and procedures in a timely manner
- Ability to demonstrate understanding and experience in relation to the implementation of security policy and protocols
- Sound knowledge of the security assurance pillars of; Governance, Physical, Personnel, Information and Cyber Security.
- Must hold or be able to gain a current Department of Defence Certificate in Security Officer Training.
- Sound knowledge in handling of physical assets and document security in relation to classified projects.

Clearances
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
