Your new role:
The ILS Training Lead is accountable for the design and development of training systems in accordance with contractual and Company requirements in order to achieve the required business performance. In this role you will lead a training team to deliver a configuration item or packages of training work.
This opportunity will see you:
- Lead key training analysis, design, development and implementation activities including curriculum development, training program planning, design, development and implementation of technology based training solutions
- Shape the training for Hunter Class Frigate for ship's crew and shore support elements to operate, maintain, and support HCF capability.
- Develop a team of training specialists to execute all phases of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning.
- Utilise design capture and analysis tools effectively to produce high quality training designs and products including interpretation of analysis results
- Undertake the integration and validation of complex training designs and includes the review of integration and validation plans and reports.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Technical training discipline preferably in Weapons Electrical Engineering.
- A Tertiary qualification in education or Certificate IV or a Diploma in Training and Assessment.
- Proven experience in a training position, preferably in a leadership role, in a Defence environment and solid understanding of Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
- Good understanding of modern training tools and systems.
- Maritime/Defence industry (particularly Navy) experience is desirable.
- Project management experience is desirable.
