Enjoy a 9-Day fortnight with some travel within Australia and potentially to the UK may be required.

Your new role:
You will be working on the Hunter Class Frigate Programme - a program of National Importance. In this role you will play a key part in delivering the most advanced anti-submarine frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. Every day you will be working with others to achieve excellent outcomes for our Customer and help shape how Australia build complex warships now and for the next generation.
In more specific terms you will:
- Foster a team culture that is curious, seeks to continuously improve how we work and be more efficient, and identifies and adopts novel approaches to problem solving with a “can do” approach to all things including our Customer.
- Responsible for Project Management and Execution of the Australian based Detailed Design Program (Mast spatial integration, all production outputs, and Liaison Engineering) for the Hunter Class Frigate Program.
- Accountable for the Control Account (Financial, schedule, quality) performance for the Spatial Design Australia scope of work, which will be delivered by approximately 100 people over the next 5 years.
- Working in partnership with the Engineering Manager Detailed Design (Australia) to shape and improve how we work and discharge the scope of work effectively.
- Engaging effectively across the Hunter Program, in particular with the wider Engineering, Planning, Manufacturing and Operations organisation to ensure a coherent integrated plan, sound problem resolution, and coherent delivery strategies are implemented.
About you
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll:
- Love working on Complex program delivery, in an engineering environment and partnering with a broad range of stakeholders/departments.
- Have a Project Management Diploma/Degree in PM or a strong track record in project management type roles.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Use your Project Management skills and experience to shape our engineering approach and engineering interface into production for a brand new shipyard and set of working practices
- Be positive in nature, solutions driven, and take pride in building something truly spectacular
