We currently have an exciting opportunity for an Information Architect within Maritime Australia. Our key site is based in Adelaide, although there may be flexibility to accommodate other locations across Australia for the right candidate.

Your new role:
As the Information Architect you will provide the necessary leadership, analysis and design tasks associated with defining an information framework for engineering and product data that will become the 'digital twins' for the Hunter Frigates. As part of this responsibility you will work closely and collaboratively with engineering stakeholders, Business Architects, Solution Architects and data governance leads
More specifically, you will:
- Engage with engineering and business and functions to ensure the support, direction and planning of the digital information architectures are aligned to program/product needs
- Define information architecture requirements in accordance with enterprise, 'product build' and 'product operation' data models that are going to need to last 30-40 years
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of technology roadmaps that assist with strategic planning and implementation
- Provide solution and architectural guidance to the program ensuring awareness of industry trends as a critical input
- Collaborating with the above stakeholders to develop the necessary information architecture catalogues, future state architecture and information reference models
- Identifying & documenting information architecture requirements in collaboration with SMEs from various engineering, IM&T & cyber-security teams
- Ensuring that future technology design solutions are aligned with the information architecture framework
- Update and develop matrices across the architecture by relating information architecture components to engineering services, business capabilities, business functions, access rights, and application models
- Elaborate Information Architecture practices and standards for how data is created, distributed, migrated, secured, and archived
About you:
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Strong engagement and relationship experience, confident in delivering presentations to senior-level executives and technical audiences
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, written and interpersonal skills, including an ability to build rapport with key stakeholders, employees at all levels
- Minimum 5 years in disciplines such as data architecture, middleware, database development or systems engineering
- Experience developing architecture blueprints, strategies and roadmaps
- Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies, platforms and processing environments
- Good understanding of strategic, new and emerging technology trends, and the practical application of existing, new and emerging technologies
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Degree qualification in ICT or Engineering (preferable) disciplines

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
