We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer within the Battlespace Integrated project. Ideally this role will be based in Canberra however interstate candidates are encouraged to apply.

Your new role:
This position is situated in the Battlespace Integrated Systems alongside a select team of engineers providing systems engineering capability within SATCOM Sustainment
In particular, this role will see you:
- Deployed to this critical Defence program to supply requisite systems engineering rigour, best practice benchmarks and discipline leadership
- Provide engineering support to Defence SATCOM capability
- Develop and manage system requirements and design including system and subsystem specifications, product breakdown structure, design documentation, component and interface specifications
- Perform system engineering activities including requirements management, functional analysis, candidate solution development, system analysis, design, integration, verification and validation, acceptance testing and certification, safety and security assessment
- Embrace and champion the transition towards a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodology across the business
- Participate in ensuring that designs meet all statutory and regulatory requirements
- Perform analyses to define and characterise the system and its components
- Utilise domain, discipline and systems engineering knowledge to enable, support and deliver products robustly, demonstrating they meet their requirements and are fit for purpose
About you:
As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you will have;
- A University degree level engineering qualification preferably within a System, Electronics, Software, Mechatronics or Aerospace discipline
- Experience in Radio Frequency (RF) or ICT would be advantageous
- Demonstrated systems engineering experience coupled with engineering experience in a relevant discipline
- Strong communication skills and stakeholder management skills

Clearances:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
