We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Field Support Representative within our Battlespace Integrated Solutions Business Unit and ideally based in Edinburgh Parks, SA.

Your new role:
Reporting to the Workshop Manager, the Field Support Representative (FSR) will be responsible for delivering expert technical advice to stakeholders on matters relating to the operation, maintenance and support considerations for BAE Systems Supported capability.
This role will see you working closely with end users, this is a key point of contact for issue identification and resolution, and responding to requests for support service tasks by the customers.
Your key responsibilities will include (however not limited to):
- Delivery of expert technical advice to facilitate the customer to perform technical assessments and judgments, including risk assessments
- Provision of guidance / advice to operators, maintainers, and engineering support staff
- Performing inspections of equipment
- Expedite technical queries
- Support the customer development and delivery of operator and maintainer training
- Maintaining technical lines of communication with stakeholders
- Undertake additional support tasks as assigned
- Supporting Quality Inspector duties
- Support Land Platform ILS team with the various projects to collectively deliver their responsibilities for the supply of ILS. This to include assisting with the delivery of:
- Support with maintenance related changes/optimisation;
- Supply/spares support;
- Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) / equipment support;
- Support to delivery and management of technical data;
- Support in design and delivery of training and training equipment;
- Delivery of Master updates and Up-issue of support manuals.
- Support with packaging, handling and storage.
- Obsolescence process and support.
- Be prepared to undertake internal and external training.
- Ensure compliance with all BAE Systems' safety standards and policies
As the ideal applicant you will have:
- Technical qualification (Minimum Certificate 3 or equivalent) in either Heavy Vehicle Mechanic - Road Transport, or Fitter (Armourer) discipline
- M113AS4 Vehicle Maintenance Course (Highly Desirable).
- Australian Certificate IV Workplace Training and Assessment qualification (Highly Desirable).
- ADF (M113AS4 preferred) Driver and Commander qualifications
- Have a high level of M113 vehicle knowledge, and a detailed understanding of ADF armoured vehicles
- Experience leading small teams within a Maintenance Organisation
- Demonstrated ability in Technical Report Writing and experience with generating Technical Documents
- Computer literate with a strong understanding of Microsoft Office suite
- Demonstrated leadership skills, strong communicator, sound technical knowledge, effective time manager, knowledge of conflict resolution techniques and team player
- Ability to exercise initiative, sound judgment and make decisions autonomously
- Willingness and ability to travel nationwide at short notice and as required
- Already have or eligible to obtain and maintain a Defence Clearance to a minimum of NV1.
Clearances:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) are applicable and as such, your nationality may be a factor in determining your suitability for this role.
