We currently have a unique opportunity as a Training Designer within our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program based in either Osborne, Adelaide or Melbourne CBD locations. You will have the flexibility to have a hybrid working environment, and the ability to have a rostered day off work through a 9 day fortnight arrangement.

Your new role:
BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver nine of the world's most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. The Hunter Class Frigate Program will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian defence supply chain over the life of the program.
An opportunity now exists for a committed Training Designer to demonstrate their training expertise and make a valuable contribution within our Maritime business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program. This interesting position will report to the Training Lead and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis.
This opportunity will see you:
- Perform technical training analysis, design, development and implementation activities
- Develop technical training curriculum and implement technology based training solutions
- Undertake training gap analysis to identify program training requirements
- Provide technical training specialisation skills and advice to support the program
- Collaborate effectively and build good relationships with internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive culture
- Conduct training design user testing and validate training designs and resources
- Seek and share good practice and knowledge to continuously improve training design practices
About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Technical Training designer/developer experience
- A relevant qualification in Training or Education
- Knowledge of modern training tools, systems and practices
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate and develop effective relationships with stakeholders
- Experience in a relevant technical field
Whilst not essential, Electronics/Weapons domain technical experience or Maritime/Defence industry experience will be highly regarded.

Clearances:
As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
