We currently have an exciting opportunity as a DDG Systems Program Office (SPO) Integrated Data Environment (IDE) Manager. The DDG SPO provides services to support the Hobart Class Destroyers (DDG) and optimise their availability.

Your new role:
The DDG SPO IDE Manager manages activities related to the Design, Implementation and Management of a suitable ICT environment(s) to support all aspects of the DDG SPO sustainment activities.
You will proactively and holistically lead and support all DDG SPO IDE activities that guide the development and management of ICT solutions necessary to support DDG SPO Sustainment activities, specifically;
- Translating Business Strategy into ICT Solutions, understanding the business drivers and business capabilities (future and current state) and guiding the determination of system designs and change requirements to drive the organization's targeted business outcomes
- Leading Solutions Design and Analysis with contracted 3rd parties if necessary, for the implementation of required solutions.
- Orchestrating the Solutions Delivery, facilitating the evaluation and selection of software products and services.
- Facilitating and Collaborating to Deliver Business Outcomes, working closely with DDG SPO and 3rd parties as necessary to ensure systems are implemented as planned and managing the relationships and interfaces with CoA personnel and CoA agencies to obtain recognition, formal accreditation, approvals etc as necessary to support the ongoing IDE activities.
- Managing the DDG SPO IDE Team ensuring team acquires and maintains the necessary skills to deliver the agreed program of work.
- Creating and maintaining Contract Deliverables, contractual reporting requirements, progress and status reports, briefs and presentations to all levels of management to ensure a full understanding of the aims and objectives of the IDE Activities and agreed program of work.
- Supporting budgeting and procurement activities in support of the delivery of the agreed program of work
About you:
You will be an experienced professional with energy, enthusiasm and a strong combination of technical, business, operational, leadership and relationship management skills gained in previously held IT centric role(s) where you have been closely involved in the project management and/or design and/or implementation and/or support and maintenance of IT System(s) and you are looking for the next step in your career.
This role will allow you to combine your wide range of technical skills and experience with strategic vision, leadership and pragmatic operational management, winning the confidence of all parties and team commitment through clarity of communication and collaborative style.
You and your team will be working closely with The DDG SPO, The Navy, Industry Partners and Defence Agencies to define and deliver the agreed program of work.
