Your new role:
JORN (Jindalee Operational Radar Network) is a state-of-the-art defence system providing wide-area surveillance capability and plays a vital role in supporting the Australian Defence Force's air and maritime operations, border protection, disaster relief and rescue operations.
As the ILS (Integrated Logistics Support) Engineer you will responsible for the engagement and support of the following activities:
- Ensuring system design and integration follows the principles of ILS and considers the existing support mechanisms currently used to manage the extant system.
- Engage with the other Integrated Product Teams (IPT) as well as with customer representatives to meet the principles of demonstration and permanent release activities.
- Engage with the specialty engineering teamsto support the generation and delivery of relevant ILS data to the Support System IPT.
- Engagement with customer representatives (providing presentations and briefs, contributing to workshops and reviews).
- Support System Delivery
- Understand the general drivers of project cost, schedule, reviews and delivery as they pertain to the ILS program.
- Participate in the Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) program to provide support system design assurance to the customer.
- Participate in the Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LORA) analysis activities to ensure generation and delivery of ILS Contract Deliverables.
- Participate in the planning and execution of System Reviews.
- Provide SME support to investigations and reviews.
About you:
As an applicant for this opportunity, you'll have:
- Tertiary qualification - Diploma, formal trade or technical certificate qualification in Engineering and/ or equivalent industry experience
- Demonstrated experience in the technical review and reporting of assessment data relative to the mechanical and/ or electrical health of systems and equipment
- Working experience in the development of ILS products for the support of systems and equipment
- Experience in the operation and/ or maintenance of support systems in a defence or related technical industry
- High degree of competence with the Microsoft Office ® suite of applications
Whilst not essential, experience leading teams of specialty analysts, or other equivalent experiences with consideration to academic credentials and formal training and certification in applicable standards and/ or equivalent industry experience would be highly regarded.
Whilst not essential, working knowledge of the recent versions of the IBM Maximo Asset Management application would be highly regarded.

As Defence security clearance is required for this role, applicants must be Australian citizens and eligible to obtain and maintain appropriate clearance.
