About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Governance Engineer to join our project based from anywhere in Australia, reporting to the Technical Governance Lead.

We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.

You will be responsible for working across all aspects of the coordination and delivery of Technical Governance activities required for the Hunter Class Frigate Project (HCFP) in support of the Chief Engineers office.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading the update and maintenance of user guides, processes and supporting documentation relating to the Delegation of Authority.
• Providing oversight for Delegation of Authority records maintained in the Enterprise Delegation of Authority Database.
• Supporting the development and delivery of contractual documentation, as required from the HCFP Technical Governance scope. 
• Lead the set up and execution activities for Critical Hold Point Reviews, Process Authorisation Groups and Mandatory System Reviews - Production.
• Supporting the Technical Governance Lead in the management and delivery of Design Reviews in support of Lifecycle Management activities, including the coordination and agreement of aims and objectives with internal senior leadership.
• Provide support and advice to internal Engineering teams and, as required, external Suppliers in all matters related to the HCFP Technical Governance scope.

About YOU

• Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent.
• Ability to communicate and build relationships with people at all levels.
• Significant experience within the Engineering or Manufacturing discipline with demonstrated experience in major project reviews.
• Demonstrated professional integrity, objectivity, acceptance of responsibility, maturity of judgement.
• Qualifications satisfying the requirements for a member of the Institute of Engineers Australia or equivalent experience.
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
• Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
