About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting, 6 month fixed term opportunity for a Portfolio Governance and Compliance Specialist to join our Line of Business based in either Adelaide or Sydney, reporting to the Digital Project Portfolio Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as hybrid working.
Demonstrate your strategic thinking skills as you work across all aspects of overseeing project documentation, approvals, change control, and ensuring operational governance in accordance with regulatory requirements.
You will be responsible for developing and implementing effective portfolio governance processes to ensure alignment with organisational objectives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establish frameworks for project selection, prioritization, and resource allocation.
- Define and enforce compliance standards to mitigate risks and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Conduct regular audits to enhance portfolio compliance.
- Manage project documentation for completeness, accuracy, and timely submission.
- Facilitate approval processes by collaborating with stakeholders.
- Implement and oversee change control mechanisms for efficient project alterations.
- Assess the impact of changes on portfolio governance and compliance.
- Monitor operational processes to maintain governance standards
About YOU
- 2-3 years' experience in portfolio management, with a focus on governance and compliance
- Demonstrated stakeholder engagement skills, ability to promote change and manage stakeholders
- Participated in contract development or management
- Experience co-ordinating cross-functional teams
- Proven experience in leading teams and managing complex project
- Qualifications are not mandatory but vocational or higher education qualifications in project management and/or allied disciplines desirable
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
