About the OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting opportunity for a business analyst to join our Defence Delivery, Digital Data Cyber team based in Adelaide, Melbourne or Sydney reporting to the Strategy and Architecture Manager.

You will be responsible for the clarification of customer needs through analysis and capture of requirements, to ensure delivered solutions are appropriate and aligned to both business and customer needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Plan and manage business analysis activities, identifying stakeholders and determining analysis techniques.
• Facilitate workshops and stakeholder consultation, defining project scope and objectives.
• Stakeholder collaboration to gather, analyse, and document customer requirements, ensuring they accurately reflect customer needs, and are managed for traceability, change and reuse.
• Contribute to stakeholder management and communications, through effective expectation management and prioritisation, and mapping of requirements to stakeholder needs.
• Contribute to solution selection and feasibility, ensuring cost effective solutions that meet customer requirements, objectives and deliver value.
• Contribute to the verification of solutions against customer requirements, developing and delivering plans for customer acceptance.

About YOU

• Demonstrated experience is business analysis role within complex environments. (3-5 years desirable)
• Demonstrated experience in eliciting, documenting and managing business requirements across the project lifecycle.
• Demonstrated experience in analysing and documenting current state versus future state processes.
• Demonstrated experience in analysing and defining acceptance criteria for system testing.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating workshops with stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity in utilising Agile delivery methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe etc.)
• Working knowledge of current best practice in Business Analysis (e.g. via CCBA certification or in-depth knowledge of BABOK)
• Relevant tertiary qualification and professional certifications is desirable
• Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain a Baseline clearance
