About the OPPORTUNITY
Come join us as a Production Supervisor within our Maritime Australia line of business working on the Hunter Class Frigate program based at our state-of-the-art shipyard facility at Osborne. This opportunity also enables you to be part of the team building the next generation of complex warships for the Royal Australian Navy.
Working in Production Operations, managing a team of tradespeople, your contributions support all delivery activities associated within the manufacturing environment to meet the needs of the customer, in a safe, cost effective and efficient manner.

Key responsibilities include:
- Foster a positive, inclusive and productive team environment, through effective leadership
- Identifying, participating and inputting into local and business level continuous improvement opportunities (technical, schedule and cost) and consulting with relevant accountable disciplines for implementation
- Ensuring compliance with the Quality and SHE Management system through regular reviews mitigating risks and improving overall performance
- Planning and co-ordinating assigned activities to meet agreed schedules to the standard required
- Developing and sustaining productive relationships with team, peers, customers and stakeholders
- Mentoring and supporting early-career and new employees
About YOU
- Relevant Trade Qualification (Certificate 3) or similar qualification in either Welding, Boilermaking, Mechanical or Electrical trades
- Proven experience in a supervisor position i.e. leading hand, production supervisor, etc.
- Intermediate computer literacy and the ability to interpret engineering and isometric drawings
- Well-developed self-management skills and able to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management
- Ability to motivate individuals and teams across a number of business areas, to shape and implement business requirements
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and influencing skills
- Ability in generating and using plans and schedules to achieve effective time and resource management
