About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate Project Manager to join our Hunter Class Program based at Osborne reporting to the Senior Project Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight
As the Practitioner Project Manager, you'll be at the forefront of operations with a hands on approach, working alongside a team of experts to ensure that projects are executed flawlessly. You'll be responsible for overseeing the technical, cost, and schedule goals of each project, ensuring that we're always on track to deliver exceptional results.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support the Project Manager with planning and delivery of straight forward to complex projects
- Hands on, actively engage stakeholders, drive projects to a successful conclusion
- Define project goals and objectives, develop project plans and timelines
- Identify project risks and develop risk management plans
- Manage project budgets and tracking project expenses
- Assist in project resources, including personnel and equipment
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and team members
About YOU
- Demonstrated experience in Project Management or studying towards a Diploma in PM
- Ability to partner with and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to obtain the necessary deliverables
- Willingness to learn, give everything a go and ask lots of questions to expand your knowledge
- Capability to identify and solve complex problems, think critically and innovate
- An existing Australian Defence Security Clearance or the ability to meet the application requirements.
- NV1 Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain in addition to eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
