About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for a System Analyst to join our team based in Adelaide, reporting to the Project and Risk Systems Manager.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, such as working a 9-day fortnight. Hybrid working, and remote working for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for assisting in the technical lifecycle of software systems within the BAE Systems Corporate IT environment specialising the Project and Risk Systems. These include client based Project and Cost Management systems from Deltek and server based systems such as Primavera, Predict, ORACLE WebSphere, IIS/Web hosting and many more.
Working across all aspects of new capability development, software applications and infrastructure services to provide a cost effective solution to the business or customer.
Key responsibilities include:
- Support our Project customers in utilising our systems effectively by responding to and processing service requests in the service desk system
- Assist with stakeholder management, user support, analysis, development, testing and production delivery coordination.
- Drive high standards of communication with customers, in line with Service Level Agreements.
- Take ownership for identifying and resolving system issues as they arise.
- Work with external vendors for incident resolution and working with vendors to get the most out of our systems.
- Working with the Capability Architects, and the business SME's to operate in the direction of both support and development of the Project and Risk capability and Roadmap.
- Assist Senior analysts to drive continuous improvement of the Project and Risk suite of systems by providing input on new processes and technology initiatives
About YOU
- Tertiary qualification in IT disciplines desirable
- Experience with databases (Oracle, SQL Server and/or PostgreSQL)
- Experience with Windows and/or Unix Operating systems
- Ability to demonstrate initiative, growth mind-set.
- Working knowledge of project management toolsets such as Open Plan, Cobra, ProPricer and Primavera highly desirable.
- Working knowledge of Risk applications, ORACLE WebSphere, IIS/Web hosting an advantage.
- Confident verbal and written communicator.
- Demonstrated ability to build effective working relationships across teams and work with minimal supervision to resolve conflicts.
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain.
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations.
