About the OPPORTUNITY
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Systems Analyst to join our Maritime Sustainment business unit. This role is based at Osborne, SA.
As a Systems Analyst you will be responsible for enabling, managing and operating a range of applications that enable activities within the shipyard. You'll get to know the shipyard and you'll be managing a subset of customer facing services critical to the operation of the shipyard.
Key responsibilities include:
- Work mostly from the Osborne shipyard, support our project customers in utilizing our application efficiently by responding to and processing service requests/enhancement.
- Manage a specific group of shipyard facing applications as part of a team that is responsible primarily for toolsets across safety, manufacturing, warehousing and logistics, security access systems and tool management.
- Act as an application administrator, managing access provisions, optimizing performance and providing end user support (escalating to the vendor if required).
- Work hand in hand with the workforce onsite to understand the capability, how the teams operate and get to know how they use the system in their daily work.
- Create, maintain and manage all supporting documentation, working with your peers to share knowledge.
- Develop and contribute to the definition of general specifications and support documentation.
- Respond to Incidents, Service Requests, Access Requests and Problems within KPIs, keeping ITIL in mind.
- Engage with stakeholders to understand their needs, investigate solution options analyse impacts, seek relevant approval and driving this process end to end.
About YOU
- Experience managing and operating applications, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to understand business processes and how they apply to a DDC provided application, working with our business stakeholders to enable effective operations.
- Strong communication skills coupled with ability to interpret customer needs into outcomes to enable the shipyard teams.
- Experience in coordinating team to plan and execute minor and major system upgrades
- Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
- Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
