About the OPPORTUNITY
We have an exciting opportunity for an ADF Support Officer to join our program based in Canberra, reporting to the DFMS Project Manager.
You will be responsible for ensuring the Defence Formal Messaging System product operations run smoothly, managing software deployment/testing, proactively monitoring networks, maintaining updated support documentation, and analysing for solutions and improvements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and ensure smooth operation of DFMS products.
- Address urgent issues outside regular work hours.
- Manage deployment and testing of software versions whilst also proactively monitoring networks for issue detection and resolution.
- Create and update support documentation.
- Analyse issues, provide solutions, and suggest improvements. Communicate with users and system managers directly and via internal tickets.
About YOU
- Broad technical ICT experience in multiple areas including networking and systems admin
- Experience in providing support for software products
- Experience in a defence related technical industry
- Knowledge of Defence communications network infrastructure
- Cert IV in Training and Assessment or eligibility to obtain
- Holder of a current Negative Vetting 2 Defence Security Clearance
