BAE Systems Australia as well as those companies in which BAE Systems plc has a direct or indirect shareholding interest (together "Related Companies") and their recruitment and HR service providers, worldwide (together "the Recipient") will use the information you provide through a job application for employment to assess your suitability for the role applied for and potentially for other roles within the business which it may feel you are suitable for. Some of these decisions about your suitability for a role may be made by using a fully automatic assessment process.

By providing your sensitive personal information (as defined by Australian Privacy Laws), such as health information or details of any criminal convictions, you consent to the Recipient using this information. As part of this assessment, you understand that it may be necessary for Related Companies to share this, and other information about you, with recruitment and HR service providers and your referees, in Australia and overseas should it be relevant to the role you have applied for. Some overseas countries do not have data protection legislation equivalent to that in force in Australia and by submitting your application, you consent to any such transfers.

As part of the Recipient's assessment, the accuracy and completeness of the information you have provided in support of your application may be verified. If you are offered a role with a Related Company then pre-employment checks will also be undertaken, which may include, but not be limited to, checking your solvency, academic qualifications and employer references, as well as carrying out criminal records checks and address validation.

You have the right to ask for a copy of the information held on you, for which a Related Company may charge a fee, and the right to ask a Related Company to correct any inaccuracies in that information.
