About the OPPORTUNITY
We have a new opportunity for an ILS Supportability Engineering Team Lead to join our Maritime Australia business on the Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP). Reporting to the ILS Supportability Engineering Manager, you will be an integral member of our Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) team, based at Osborne Adelaide and employed on a permanent full time basis.
We embrace flexible work arrangements at BAE Systems Australia, including working a 9-day fortnight and hybrid working.
BAE Systems Maritime Australia (formerly known as ASC Shipbuilding), has been contracted to design and deliver the world's most advanced anti-submarine warfare frigates to the Royal Australian Navy. The Hunter Class Frigate Program (HCFP) will create and sustain more than 5,000 jobs across BAE Systems and the wider Australian Defence supply chain over the life of the program.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide leadership to the ILS/Supportability Engineering team, coach and develop personnel, fostering a high performance culture
- Oversee, provide direction and support in the development of Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Review the design and development of ILS/Supportability Engineering solutions and technical products
- Collaborate with the wider ILS/supportability engineering team, drive culture of ILS/supportability engineering best practice, efficiency and continuous improvement
- Provide sound ILS/supportability engineering advice, collaborate effectively with customers, internal and external stakeholders, maintaining a positive work culture
- Draw conclusions and propose recommendations to improve equipment/ system reliability and supportability based on ILS data analysis and available evidence
About YOU
- Extensive ILS, or logistic engineering, or supportability engineering experience
- Demonstrated experience with Logistics Support Analysis (LSA), Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) Analysis, Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and Failure Mode Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Resiliency, flexibility and the ability to adapt to changing program requirements
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and develop effective working relationships with stakeholders
- Whilst not essential, ILS people leadership experience or experience working on complex acquisition programs, will be highly regarded
